The Lower Treavers hockey team put in a fine performance last night to beat Penzance 7-5 in the first match of the summer league. The league is a mixed team event, 7 a-side played on Tuesday evenings in the summer at Penzance Astro Park. Some spirited performances, particularly from the ladies of the team who were happy to get stuck in and win ball against some fairly robust opposition.

Question is...who is the man in the mask? Some say he normally hangs around with hookers. Some say he has strange shaped balls. All we know is we call him 'THE STICK!'.

Not all good news though...this was the result of a manoeuvre known as the Astro Turf Glide or Uncle Knobheads Last Dance (Peter Kay, Live at the Manchester Arena). Should heal up nicely by next week.
