A recent visitor says he spotted a Red Kite over Lower Treave. We would like to get a confirmatory sighting so bring your binoculars and keep your eyes peeled.

Whilst on the subject of matters orthonological, this beautiful nest was recently blown out of one of the Monterey Pines. Howard Curnow of the Cornish Wildlife Trust thinks its a wren nest. It is very precisely made with a cosy lining of what looks like sheeps' wool fibres.
